Representatives of AIT visit the International Islamic University Malaysia

On April 29-30, 2019, representatives of Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) under the guidance of AIT rector Jeyhun Mammadov visited the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

The representatives met with Dr. Isarji Hj Sarudin, Deputy Rector (Academic and Industrial Linkages), Dr. Nor Faridah Bt. Abdul Manaf, Deputy Rector (Internationalisation and Global Network) and Professor Dawood Abdulmalek Yahya Al-Hidabi, Director (Kulliyyah of Education) in the frame of the visit. The necessities for the establishment of both institutions, directions of their activity and prospects of bilateral cooperation were discussed at the meeting.

AIT team further familiarized themselves with the academic programs, research methodologies, library, dormitory, book shop and sports facilities of Kulliyyah of Islamic Reveal Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS), as well as Sultan Haji Ahmad Mosque at IIUM.

At the end of the meeting, a bilateral protocol was signed between two institutions.

The protocol aims long-term academic and educational cooperation, the application of educational achievements and exchange of experiences and establishment of academic and cultural relations. At the same time, sharing information on the organization of teaching process, academic experience, organizing joint academic research programs and projects, exchanging students, publishing academic and methodological materials and other related issues were discussed in the protocol.

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology organizes visits to higher education institutions in different countries in order to strengthen relations, organize joint projects in the frame of bilateral cooperation and carry out the exchange of students and academic staff.
