AIT instructor attends a conference
Mammadali Babashli, an associate professor in the Department of Languages and Social Sciences at the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT), attended the international scientific-practical conference organized by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The conference, titled "Islam in the Countries of Central Asia and the Middle East: Traditions, Trends, and Perspectives," was held in an online format.
Associate Professor Mammadali Babashli presented on the topic "Religious Education in Modern Azerbaijan: Content, Characteristics and Development Prospects." In his speech, he addressed the gradual restoration of religious education in Azerbaijan, including the establishment of madrasahs and the Faculty of Theology at Baku Islamic and Baku State Universities.
In his speech, M. Babashli discussed the establishment of the Azerbaijan Institute of Theology, outlining its goals and objectives, the structure of the institution and the majors offered at the institute. He also highlighted that education is tuition-free and discussed international relations as well as the organization of additional free courses, Summer and Winter schools.
