AIT signed a bilateral protocol with Ahmad Dahlan University of Indonesia

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) signed a bilateral protocol with Ahmad Dahlan University of Indonesia on joint academic and research cooperation.

Based on joint activity on the implementation of academic and research works between two higher education institutions, the protocol was signed by Agil Shirinov, Vice-rector on Science and Innovation at AIT and Dr. H. Kasiyarno, M.Hum, Rector of Ahmad Dahlan University of Indonesia. Husnan Bey Fananie, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Azerbaijan, attended the meeting.

The protocol aims to conduct joint researches by the faculties and departments of both higher education institutions, implement joint projects and organize visits for academic staff and PhD students.

The protocol reflects the issues such as the dissemination of academic materials and experience on the organization of educational process, organization of conferences with the participation of professors and specialists of both institutions and exchange of students.

Agil Shirinov, Vice-rector on Science and Innovation at AIT welcomed the meeting participants and expressed his gratitude for their participation. Emphasizing that the relations between two countries are at a high level, Agil Shirinov noted that President Ilham Aliyev attaches special importance to the cooperation with Muslim and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) countries. Vice-rector further informed participants about the activities of Azerbaijan Institute of Theology and mentioned its goals and objectives. He said AIT pays attention to the establishment of cooperation with the higher education institutions of foreign countries.

Husnan Bey Fananie, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to Azerbaijan, evaluated the bilateral protocol as a significant event in the direction of education and research. Speaking highly of the work carried out for the development of education by AIT, the Ambassador noted the cooperation will be further developed.

Dr. H. Kasiyarno, M.Hum, Rector of Ahmad Dahlan University of Indonesia expressed his gratitude and said the cooperation will be advantageous and interesting for both sides. Informing the participants about the University, the Rector noted that the University has 27.000 students enrolled in 50 majors of 11 faculties.

At the end, the guests visited the library of the Institute.
