AIT has held a meeting on the preparation for the new academic year
Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) has held a meeting on the activities of the Institute, preparation for the new academic year and forthcoming tasks.
The Institute administration as well as the teaching staff attended the meeting and discussed the final report on the activities of the Institute, the preparation for the new academic year and future tasks.
AIT rector Jeyhun Mammadov congratulated the teachers and academic staff on the beginning of the new academic year and wished them success in their future activities.
The Rector further mentioned the activities of the Institute so far, implemented projects and forthcoming tasks.
J.Mammadov noted that as in all areas, the state attaches particular importance to education, culture, protection of national and moral values. He emphasized that the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev is successfully continuing the state-religion policy formed by national leader Heydar Aliyev. Mentioning the goals and objectives of AIT, J.Mammadov said that the main task of the Institute is to educate patriotic specialists with rich world outlook, high culture and profound knowledge. He said that we should strive to improve students’ knowledge and skills and develop them as personalities.
The rector noted that the Institute is ready for the new academic year as the repair work has been carried out in the Institute building, student admission has been successfully completed, preparation of some textbooks has been finalized, new books and magazines have been published. Noting that new teachers are recruited, the Rector stressed that the Institute aims to attract professionals who are experts in their fields.
Then AIT rector mentioned the forthcoming tasks of the Institute. He said that the Institute is making every effort to study international experience in the relevant field, establish relations with foreign universities, publish textbooks and scholarly researches in the field of theology. J.Mammadov stressed that it is necessary to complete the work in the directon of establishing alumni database and Career Center.
At the end of the meeting, a number of organizational issues were also discussed.
