AIT held its next meeting with university applicants in Garadagh district

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) continues its promotional events for school students in the regions of Azerbaijan with the aim of attracting high-level and intellectual students for the 2020-2021 academic year. The Institute held its next meeting in Garadagh district.

Opening the event with a welcoming speech, Shamsi Gojayev, Director of the school No166 named after Faig Rafiyev in Garadagh district, said that the care for education under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev is at a high level. Reforms in this area are primarily aimed at the prosperous future of Azerbaijan.

AIT rector Jeyhun Mammadov, emphasized that the state pays special attention to education and its development in the independent Republic of Azerbaijan. Noting that education plays a significant role in the development of a modern society, the Rector said that under the guidance of President Ilham Aliyev, the material and technical base of science and education is being developed, modernized, equipped with the latest technology.

AIT rector recommended the university applicants to be determined for their goals, “Young people should be educated in a spirit of devotion to the moral and national values. The future of independent Azerbaijan depends on adequate education of today’s young generation. ”

J.Mammadov also said that the state attaches particular attention to religious field, protection of national and moral values in the country. The establishment of Azerbaijan Institute of Theology in accordance with the Order of President Ilham Aliyev dated February 9, 2018 is the most obvious example to this. The Rector also gave detailed information about the goals and objectives of the Institute.

Anar Kazimov, Acting Director of the Baku Department of The State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, stressed the importance of education in the struggle against deviant radical religious movements that aim to influence on young people.

Mirniyaz Mursalov, Dean of the AIT Faculty of Theology, spoke about the conditions created by the Institute for better education of students. He informed the participants about the teaching process and the subjects. He noted that the Institute staff is working hard to develop young people as well-educated professionals, with deep religious and secular knowledge.

Fidan Yusifova, Head of the Department of Graduate Studies at AIT, delivered a presentation on admission rules to the Institute and existing majors. She noted that each student will benefit from the necessary conditions, tuition-free education and other privileges created by the state. Apart from this, students will be provided with free uniforms, food, foreign language courses and other advantages.

Tarana Ismayilova, Deputy head of Garadagh District Executive Power, noted that the national education system and reforms developed by national leader Heydar Aliyev are successfully continued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

At the end of the meeting, applicants’ questions were responded.
