AIT students attended the next lecture in the summer school

The summer school organized in Bursa city of Turkey for students of Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) continues.

The next day of the summer school, historian and researcher Muhammed Chelen gave a brief overview of the emergence of sects in Islam and other world religions and their modernization process. Associating sectarian divisions with human nature, M.Chelen mentioned the role of this factor in the lives of people and the reasons for the emergence of different cultures. He stressed that despite sectarian division, Muslims did not have conflicts about the fundamental principles of religion, “There is no disagreement about the matters that God is Almighty, Muhammad is His Messenger, The Quran was sent down by God and Namaz, Zakat, fasting, Hajj are necessary for all Muslims.” M.Chelen stressed that conflicts might exist in the secondary issues that are beyond the fundamental principles of the religion.

It should be noted that students of theological faculties from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan participate in the summer school together with the students of Azerbaijan Institute of Theology. The summer school is of great importance from the aspect of increasing students’ knowledge and skills, sharing experiences, expanding friendly relations, and promoting tolerant and multicultural environment in the country.

The students will be taught Arabic, English, Quran, Tafseer, Siyar, Hadith, Fiqh, Education and Turkish Language and Literature during the summer school. At the same time, the summer school organizes seminars and conferences with the participation of well-known businessmen, researcher and theologians.

One of the primary goal of the Institute is to educate religious figures who tolerate all confessions and doctrines with profound knowledge about Islam and other world religions.
