Seminar on Our Solidarity: Our National and Religious Unity presented by Professor Musa Gasimli has been held

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) held a seminar on Our Solidarity: Our National and Religious Unity presented by Professor Musa Gasimli, Member of Parliament, Associate Member of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), Director of ANAS Institute of Caucasus Stuides.

Welcoming the event participants, AIT rector Jeyhun Mammadov shared his opinion with them. He noted that people with diverse background and religions coexisted peacefully in our country. This lifestyle is our people’s characteristic feature accepted through history and turned into a spiritual value. J.Mammadov emphasized that organization of these events and awareness of youth are of particular importance in terms of the development of the feelings of love for motherland and the state.

AIT rector further noted that the national and religious unity existing in the country is the positive outcome of national leader Heydar Aliyev after the country gained independence. Currently, President Ilham Aliyev is successfully pursuing this policy.

Professor Musa Gasimli, Member of Parliament, Associate Member of ANAS, delivered a speech on Our Solidarity: Our National and Religious Unity and emphasized that national unity in the country is based on multicultural values. M.Gasimli noted that preservation of our national and religious solidarity has become priority in the state policy. National leader Heydar Aliyev’s ideas of national and religious unity and Azerbaijan is successfully implemented under the guidance of President of Ilham Aliyev.

M.Gasimli further noted that Azerbaijani president’s contribution to the solidarity of the world Azerbaijanis is the constituent part of the purposeful activity directed to the development of national spirit in the people living abroad.

The seminar continued with the discussions around the topic.
