Azerbaijan Institute of Theology starts international cooperation

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) has held a meeting with the representatives of the International Organization for Migration (IOM).

During the meeting, AIT rector Jeyhun Mammadov, informed the participants about the activities of the Institute. Emphasizing that the Institute attaches particular attention to students’ personal qualities, high level of language skills as well as religious and secular knowledge, the Rector noted that the Institute implements various projects in this direction. J. Mammadov stressed that one of such projects is the organization of additional Arabic and English courses at the Institute. Jeyhun Mammadov said that the organization of English courses by the IOM at the Institute will contribute to the improvement of students’ language skills.

Representatives further gave information about the organization and mentioned successful implementation of various projects in Azerbaijan after the establishment of the IOM Baku office. Working in close collaboration with our country, IOM is carrying out Public Action for Resilience (PAR) Activity since September 2018 funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

One of the main partners of the project is the State Committee on Religious Associations of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SCRA). Cooperation with Azerbaijan Institute of Theology was also established within this project. The organization plans to provide additional English language courses to contribute to the academic and personal development of students.
