AIT students attend Professor Vejdi Bilgin’s lecture

The summer school organized in Bursa city of Turkey for students of Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) continues.

The next day of the summer school, Vejdi Bilgin, Professor of the Faculty of Theology at Bursa Uludag University, instructor of Sociology of Religion spoke about modern and early religious life and services in Turkey. Mentioning different approaches to the religion, Professor Vejdi Bilgin spoke about the work carried out in this direction and the importance of the establishment of the Directorate of Religious Affairs. He also gave detailed information about the enrolled students and the Faculty of Theology. V.Bilgin emphasized the importance of publications about religious education.

V.Bilgin further responded to the questions from students.

Students were taught different subjects in the frame of the summer school held on July 21-August 5, 2019. At the same time, the summer school organizes seminars and conferences with the participation of theologians and different specialists to develop students’ world outlook, critical thinking skills and inform them about the religious life of the different countries.

AIT is interested in etablishing relations with world universities to improve students’ religious knowledge and familiarize them with the religious life of different countries. To that end, the Institute organized visits to different countries and signed cooperation agreements with them.

It should be noted that in the future, annual winter and summer schools will be organized jointly by theological faculties of different world universities.

The summer school has been organized on an agreement signed between Azerbaijan Institute of Theology, the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Turkey and the Directorate of Religious Affairs.
