AIT has held a meeting with upper-year students

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology has held a meeting with the students of the upper-year courses. AIT rector Jeyhun Mammadov congratulated students on the occasion of the new academic year and wished them success in this new stage of their studies.

The Rector mentioned the state care and attention for the development of education in the country. He said that the steps taken by President Ilham Aliyev, a worthy successor of the policy pursued by great leader Heydar Aliyev, his decrees, orders and other documents are aimed at the development of education and science in Azerbaijan.

J. Mammadov informed students about the internal rules of AIT, its goals, objectives and projects. Stating that AIT aims to educate professional specialists, the Rector reminded students of the great responsibility. The Rector called on students to actively participate in their classes, master language skills, be active in the public life of the Institute and emphasized that the Institute provides students with the necessary care and support, free education, language courses, opportunities to continue their education at recognized universities in the world, opportunities of employment in various government agencies of the country after graduation and other advantages. “AIT aims to educate specialists with profound knowledge, strong personality, rich world outlook, well manners and patriotic feelings,” J.Mammadov said advising students to learn about the essence and foundations of the religion as well as the national traditions.

Stressing that the Institute has taken all the necessary steps to regulate transparent teacher-student relations based on mutual trust, and that the Institute teachers treat students as their children, Jeyhun Mammadov advised students to benefit the opportunities created for them.

The meeting concluded with the discussions around forthcoming tasks in the new academic year.
