AIT held a meeting on the results of November

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) held its next meeting on the results of November for the current academic year. Attended by the administration, instructors and academic staff, the meeting discussed the overall activities and future prospects of the Institute.

Speaking at the event, AIT rector Jeyhun Mammadov said that, as in all areas, the state attaches particular importance to education, culture, protection of national and moral values. The Rector noted that President Ilham Aliyev pays special attention to education and successfully implements the state-religion policy founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Mentioning the goals and objectives of AIT, J.Mammadov said that one of the primary goals of the Institute is to develop well-educated, patriotic specialists with a rich world outlook, good manners and profound knowledge. He said that mobilizing our potential, we should do our best to enhance students’ knowledge and skills for their development as bright personalities.

J.Mammadov mentioned the tasks and future goals of the Institute. Stressing the importance of the textbooks prepared by AIT teachers, the Rector said that the Institute staff should be involved in different projects and expand our international relations.

Mubariz Jamalov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Training Technologies, touched upon the issues concerning students’ acquisition of subjects taught at the Institute and maintenance of quality along with discipline. He informed the participants about the open lessons organized by the Academic Methodological Council.

Agil Shirinov, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations, touched upon the publication of articles in international indexed journals and additional courses by the Institute teachers.

Mirniyaz Mursalov, Dean of the Faculty of Theology, mentioned the work implemented in the fall semester, problems and future activities.

Fidan Yusifova, Head of the Department of Graduate Stuides, spoke about the admission process for the master’s and doctoral level, admission plan for doctoral programs and the development of them.

Zarifa Aliyeva, Head of the Department of Academic Affairs, spoke about the innovations in the learning process, the shortcomings that emerge during the exam sessions, achievements as well as student opinions and suggestions.

Heads of the departments Ahmed Niyazov, Elnura Azizova and Ilkin Alimuradov shared their views on the academic affairs, the activities of instructors, publication of books, articles as well as future directions of activities.
