AIT held a seminar on Islamic Morality and Modern Youth

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology held a seminar on Islamic Morality and Modern Youth with the participation of Professor Kamil Gunesh, Advisor on Religious Affairs of the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan.

Mirniyaz Mursalov, Dean of the Faculty of Theology, welcomed the event participants. He noted that seminars, meetings and roundtables organized consistently at AIT have special importance from the aspect of improving students’ world outlook and encouraging them for academic researches.

Commenting on the relevance of the topic, Mr. Mursalov noted that moral and spiritual values are one of the characteristic peculiarities of a human personality. He further noted that the state initiates regular events for the development of national and multicultural values.

Professor Kamil Gunesh, Advisor on Religious Affairs of the Turkish Embassy in Azerbaijan, made a speech on Islamic Morality and Modern Youth. He noted that unity of Islam civilization is of primary concern for its independence and progress. No initiation, attempt and struggle will have a positive outcome without unity.

Kamil Gunesh noted that youth, which is the leading power of society, should not satisfy with the knowledge and skills obtained from school and their family. They should be open to all the new information, knowledge and skills. He added that youth is in constant search and their dynamics, enthusiasm and agility coming from their age make them tireless.
