Science Day will be celebrated at AIT

According to the Decree dated April 9, 2018 by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, March 27 will be marked as the Day of Science every year. Based on the provisions of the Order, Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) in partnership with the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of ANAS plans to hold a scientific-practical conference on Islamic civilization and science: history and modernity on April 3, 2019. The primary goal of the conference is to introduce scientific researches, discuss them and exchange opinions.


The conference will focus on the role of Azerbaijani scientists and thinkers in the development of science and philosophy in the Muslim East: contemporary challenges and the Islamic world; science and philosophy schools in the Islamic world; specific features of Islamic art and directions of science-religion relations in the Islamic world from medieval to modern times.


Articles should be submitted to the Organization Committee by March 20. Articles should not exceed 5-10 pages and the electronic versions should be sent to the following email: [email protected].

The Institute also plans to hold a roundtable on the Research of Theological Studies: Current Situation and Perspectives in the frame of the Day of Science. The roundtable will focus on the issues related to the organization, conduct, outcomes and transmission of researches in the field of theology.


The primary goal of the Day of Science is to increase the engagement of academic staff in scientific activity and encourage them to pursue scientific researches.
