Conference on Ahmed bey Agaoglu, outstanding public and political figure of the Turkic world, continues in panels

A two-day academic conference on Ahmed bey Agaoglu, outstanding public and political figure of the Turkic world dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the great thinker Ahmed bey Agaoglu, organized jointly by Azerbaijan Institute of Theology, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), Istanbul Branch of Türk Ocakları and Istanbul University Institute for Turkic Studies, is continuing with panels.

The first day of the conference was conducted by AIT rector, PhD Jeyhun Mammadov; Cezmi Bayram, President of the Istanbul Branch of Türk Ocakları; Mustafa Balci, Head of the Istanbul University Institute for Turkic Studies and Abdullah Gundogdu, Professor of Ankara University.

MP Fazil Mustafa, Professor Hamlet Isakhanli, Solmaz Rustamova Tohidi, Nasib Nasibli, Mubariz Suleymanli, Vagif Sultanli, Badirkhan Ahmadov, Abdullah Gundogdu, Associate Professor Firdovsiyya Ahmadova, Mehmet Kaan Chalen, M.Ufuk Ozcan, Yegana Aliyeva, Goyarchin Mustafayeva, Nuri Civelek and Haluk Kaymaker delivered speeches at the conference.

Speeches covered the life and creativity of Ahmed bey Agaoglu, who had a profound impact on the history of Azerbaijani public opinion, his activities in the parliament of Azerbaijan Democratic Republic, his role in the socio-political life of the Republic of Turkey, in the formation of national struggle and multicultural values.
