Azerbaijan Institute of Theology organized a meeting with university applicants in Shirvan

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) continues its promotional events in the regions of Azerbaijan with the aim of attracting high-level and intellectual students for the 2019-2020 academic year. The next visit of the Institute staff was to Shirvan district.

The Institute staff first visited Heydar Aliyev’s monument and paid tribute to the memory of the national leader laying flowers at the monument.

The meeting was organized in Shirvan Youth House. Adam Huseynov, Head of the Social-Political and Humanitarian Affairs Department and Official for work with religious organizations in Shirvan district, mentioned the attention and care to science and education by national leader Heydar Aliyev and developmental activities carried out in this direction. It was noted that along with education and knowledge, national values should be instilled in young people and the influence of families and schools should be developed. A.Huseynov noted that consistent activities are held to help the development of talented youth. He mentioned the work carried out to improve education management and material and technical base of higher education institutions.

AIT rector Jeyhun Mammadov informed the participants about the goals and activity directions of the Institute. The Rector noted that the Institute attaches particular importance to the education of students and organizes regular seminar and roundtables for this purpose. The role of science and education expands worldwide and gains special attention. Emphasizing the importance of establishing a strong academic environment in higher education institutions, Jeyhun Mammadov said that our state is constantly paying attention to this sphere. He noted that national leader Heydar Aliyev’s state policy directed to the development of education in the country is being successfully continued by President Ilham Aliyev.

“Today we have a task ahead of us. We must raise patriotic youth who are well-mannered, well-educated and bearers of national values. We must protect them from negative influences and raise them in the spirit of devotion to their national values and homeland,” said Jeyhun Mammadov.

Mirniyaz Mursalov, Dean of the faculty of Theology, informed the students about the educational process in the Institute, subjects and majors. He noted that transparent teacher-student relations exist at AIT. Mentioning the conditions created for better education of students, the Dean outlined the work carried out to prepare well-educated and professional specialists.

Fidan Yusifova, Head of the Department of Graduate Studies at AIT, delivered a presentation on admission rules to the Institute and existing majors. She noted that each student would benefit from the necessary conditions, tuition-free education and other privileges created by the state. Ms. Yusifova said students will be provided with free uniforms, food, foreign language courses and other advantages.

The materials and video reflecting the social activities of AIT were demonstrated for university applicants, school teachers and government officials who participated in the meeting.

At the end of the meeting, university applicants' questions were responded.
