Bursa summer school attended by AIT students has come to an end

The summer school organized in Bursa city of Turkey for students of Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) has finished.

On the last day of the summer school, Mehmet Merjan, Head of the Bursa Education Directorate of Religious Education in the Republic of Turkey and Mehmet Turkmen, Head of the International Murat Hudavendigar Anadolu Imam Hatip High School, noted that the summer school has successfully finished. Mentioning the significance of the summer school, the organizers noted that the program is of great importance from the aspect of strengthening friendly relations between two countries.

The program organizers said they believe that the knowledge gained by students during the summer school will be useful in their future activities. They expressed their gratitude to the persons who contributed to the successful implementation of the project.

Attendees of the summer school were then awarded with certificates.

Students have been taught Arabic, English, Quran, Tafseer, Siyar, Hadith, Fiqh, Education, Modern religious trends and Turkish Language and Literature during the summer school. Apart from the interesting seminars and lectures, students have also visited a number of historical places, mosques and madrasas in the city of Bursa.

Students of Faculties of Theology from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan have attended the summer school held on July 21 - August 5, 2019, together with the students of Azerbaijan Institute of Theology. The summer school is of great importance from the aspect of increasing information exchange among students and familiarizing them with diverse cultures.

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology organized a winter school on Religion, Culture and Society in Shamakhi district this year. Summer and winter schools organized for AIT students aim to increase their theoretical knowledge, intellectual level, promote multicultural and tolerant values as well as establish relations with the foremost universitites of the world.

Annual winter and summer schools will be organized jointly by theological faculties of different world universities.
