AIT held a meeting on the results of the year

Azerbaijan Institute of Theology (AIT) held a meeting dedicated to the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the results of the year.

The meeting was held through Zoom and was attended by the AIT administration, teachers, and academic staff.

Welcoming the participants, AIT rector Agil Shirinov wished martyrs peace in the afterlife and speedy recover to veterans. The rector stressed that we are proud to walk in our lands as citizens of the victorious country liberated at the cost of our blood and lives.

He then expressed his sincere wishes on the occasion of December 31 - the Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and the upcoming new year. Speaking about the history of Solidarity Day, the rector stressed that our unity in the Great Patriotic War is a clear example of this.

A.Shirinov also touched upon the results of the year. He noted that thanks to the united activities of the team, online classes continue successfully from the beginning to the present day.

Speaking about admission plan of the current year, AIT rector said that the minimum admission score for Islamic studies was 281, and for religious studies - 305 points. He also noted that the admission was successful for the master's and doctoral levels.

A.Shirinov stressed that AIT signed agreements within the Mevlana and Erasmus + programs, and that our students will be able to study at foreign universities after the end of the pandemic.

The rector also noted that various competitions and seminars were organized to increase students’ level of knowledge and world outlook. He also mentioned reading classical religious texts in Arabic and English language courses organized by the International Organization for Migration.

Mubariz Jamalov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs and Learning Technologies, spoke about the organization, quality and efficiency of education during the pandemic, and about the exams.

Mirniyaz Mursalov, Vice-Rector for Science and Innovations, spoke about the books published by the Institute under the title "Theological Publications" thanks to the work of teachers and staff of the university. M.Mursalov also discussed the issues of admission to master's and doctoral levels.

Then Elnura Azizova, Dean of the Faculty of Theology, said that the lessons that are not held during the war were compensated by additional lessons, and the faculty is ready for the winter exam session.
